Whether you are an outpatient or inpatient, it is important to have complete trust in your surgeon. Given that we perform numerous procedures both at our practice and at our affiliated RKM 740 Interdisciplinary Specialist Clinic, we offer a firm foundation for such trust. Apart from getting to know us, your urological team, you will also meet your anaesthetist in a preliminary consultation to clarify any questions you may have without the pressure of time. Hence, you will receive comprehensive care until discharge and beyond.
Thanks to vasectomy, permanent contraception for men is straightforward, extremely reliable, and has very few side effects. With just a tiny incision, the sperm ducts can be cut and blocked off to prevent sperm reaching the ejaculate (semen). Libido, erectile function and orgasm remain fully intact, however, meaning that sexual intercourse can be enjoyed as usual.
If you have a permanent ureteral stent or ureterocutaneostomy which requires regular replacement at a hospital, you could instead have it replaced in the pleasant and relaxed environment of our practice without waiting a long time. Your own urologist or family doctor can continue to manage your other treatments.

To investigate the suspicion of prostate cancer, cells taken from the site in question need to be examined under a microscope. In addition to MRI fusion biopsy, we also perform conventional biopsies for this purpose.
If prostate cancer is a possibility, we need to examine random samples of prostate tissue by means of a biopsy. To specifically target the cells in question, we can use the modern approach of MRI fusion biopsy. The ultrasound image is thereby combined with a pre-recorded MRI scan to generate a three-dimensional image, helping us to accurately pinpoint the site in question.
Turn your bladder examination into a wellness event in the separate area at our practice where we perform this outpatient procedure. A pleasant environment with wellness bath awaits. Furthermore, if you wish you can follow the entire procedure live on a dedicated screen.
Permanent urinary urgency and the frequent dribbling of urine are an annoying symptom of what we call irritable bladder. It can be counteracted, however, by relaxing the muscles of the bladder with botulinum toxin. The treatment takes effect within a few days and usually lasts six to nine months.
Is your urinary flow weaker than normal? This could be due to narrowing of the urethra, which is easy to treat in an outpatient procedure: the stricture is removed with the aid of a small ceramic knife or laser. A catheter is then fitted to aid wound healing – once it is removed, your urinary flow will be back to normal.
If you or your child have a tight foreskin, there may be a need for circumcision. We can perform this procedure for you under local or general anaesthesia in the pleasant, calm environment of our practice.
Genital warts are one of the most common sexually transmissible infections (STIs). They occur mainly in the intimate and anal region in men; in women, they frequently appear in the region of the labia. These warts are infectious and can be transmitted during sexual intercourse.
Genital warts are caused by human papillomaviruses 16 and 18 and can lead to cervical cancer in women and penile carcinoma in men. You can protect yourself and your partner by having these warts removed. A vaccine may also help in the event of recurring genital warts.
Using a method known as photodynamic diagnostics (PDD), we can detect bladder tumours that would otherwise go unnoticed. To prevent any further spread, we can remove them by means of an endoscopy.
We have a range of therapeutic options for treating benign prostate enlargement (benign prostate hyperplasia), each of which has its own advantages and criteria for use. The endoscopic treatment we offer involves the REZUM™ technique, bipolar resection or Holmium laser nucleation of the prostate (HoLEP).
Are you troubled by weakened urinary flow or frequent trips to the toilet? Such symptoms are often related to benign prostate enlargement. The aim, therefore, is to reduce the size of the prostate and provide the urethra with the space it needs. The Rezum™ technique is an elegant and effective method designed for precisely this purpose. The prostate tissue is gently but effectively reduced without the use of a scalpel. Starting from the urethra, selected sites of the prostate are treated with steam. It takes only a few seconds per site to destroy any excess prostate cells. The dead cells are then broken down naturally by the body and a regulated flow of urine is restored.

Do you have kidney, bladder or ureteral stones? If so, we can use a thin, flexible instrument to trap and transport them through the urethra into the kidneys. If the stones are larger, they can be reduced in size before removal with the aid of a laser.
There are various conditions that affect the testicles or penis which may necessitate surgery. If you think this applies to you, book an appointment and we will take care of the rest.
